Hi, I am Amy with Iluma Learning and I wanted to share with you a new program that we just started this year and that we are taking new participants for right now to join called the Spark Leadership Program. And this is a six month commitment, ongoing, you can renew your membership, and it is for new leaders or never formally trained leaders who are in heavy equipment and are wanting to improve their leadership skills. Now in heavy equipment, we know that most people get thrown into a leadership position with zero training. You are one of your coworkers one day and the next day you're in charge of everyone. And so how do we manage this change and how do we deal with new employees if we've never managed them before?

This program really helps us tackle some of the things that we need to better understand in order to be a good leader. So foundational skills around communication, conflict, trying to understand different personalities and how to deal with people in that way. How to build a relationship so that you are respected in your role and that you can get behavior change when you need it. These things are really important.

This program is called Spark and it is a leadership program you can look at in the link below. You can reach out to me and we can talk about it. You can sign up one person or 15 people. It is ongoing. You can sign them up and they can get started at next month's meeting. It is a six month commitment because we know you can't build any habit that will be long lasting unless you put some time and commitment around it for at least six months. And so our goal is that we get you in there for six months and then you keep going with us for many months after that. So checkout Spark, if you have new supervisors that have just come on the scene this is a great tool for them to get some essential understanding in a context of heavy equipment. This is good stuff.
